Auckland Junior Drinks Function - Shortland Chambers - 20 May 2021 (0.5 CPD)
The NZBA is holding a junior drinks function, hosted by Shortland Chambers, from 5.15 pm to 7.00 pm on Thursday, 20 May 2021.
Council member, Sam Jeffs, will welcome you to this informal get-together, which includes drinks and nibbles. Jane Anderson QC, of Shortland Chambers, will give a short presentation about her career path.
We also encourage non-member junior practitioners (0 - 7 years post-admission experience) who are interested in life at the independent bar to attend. Invite your junior colleagues. Whether you are a junior barrister, a junior at a law firm, or a judges’ clerk, come along and bring a friend.

 | Jane provides direct and pragmatic advice to individual and corporate clients across a wide range of practice areas. She is experienced in litigation of all sizes and at all Court levels, primarily in commercial, corporate, insurance, contract, regulatory, trust and property matters. She has acted on large scale commercial disputes and in domestic and international arbitration. She accepts appointments as an Arbitrator and is on the AMINZ Arbitration Panel. Until dilapidation intervened, Jane was a determined and obsessive long distance runner. She is now a determined and obsessive tennis player. She is programmed to apply those same personality traits to her legal practice. Jane is kept grounded by her teenage daughters who constantly remind her that they are above the law. |
