Maria Dew QC

Maria Dew QC has a specialist practice in employment law, professional misconduct and related civil litigation. Maria was appointed Queens Counsel in 2018.

Her practice also includes regular appointments to conduct independent investigations and reviews both in the public and private sector.

Currently, Maria holds various appointments including as President Elect of the NZBA and Deputy Chair of the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal, New Zealand Law Society Prosecutions Panel, Sports and Recreation Complaints Service Panel Member and AMINZ certified mediator.

Maria is a member of Britomart Chambers, Auckland.

 

 

Kathryn Dalziel

Kathryn Dalziel is a barrister at Walker Street Chambers.  She has practiced in privacy and employment law for over 30 years.  Kathryn teaches at the University of Canterbury in employment law and privacy and has contributed to publications, seminars and conferences on these topics.  Kathryn has employed staff as both a partner in a law firm and as a barrister. 

 

Asher Emanuel

Asher Emanuel is a junior to Clifton Chambers.

Asher graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2015 with LLB (Hons) (First Class) and BA in English literature. He placed first in class in international commercial contracts and won the prize for best student writing for his honours paper on discrimination law.
Asher was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2016. Prior to working at Clifton Chambers, Asher worked as a judges’ clerk at the High Court of Wellington, a tutor and assistant examiner at Victoria University’s Faculty of Law, and as a clerk at the Law Commission. He has a particular interest in public and administrative law
