2018 Annual Conference Optional Activity - Mountain Biking
Travel by by coach to the Whakarewarewa Forest where Mountain Bike Rotorua will take you on trails that are best suited to your ability.
One of the best trail networks in the world with over 130km of tracks to choose from, your guides will take you on the trails that are best suited to your ability. Join the only company that is accredited under the Adventure Activity Regulations as well as concessioned for both the Rotorua Lakes Council and DOC to guide mountain biking, Mountain Bike Rotorua.
This activity is free for delegates who have purchased a Conference ticket, but you must still register as an attendee and add to cart to add this to your booking (below).

Each member may book one optional activity ticket.
Once you are at the conference changes to different optional activity may not be possible.
Special Equipment and Experience Level:
- Shorts, t-shirt, light rain jacket and sneakers.
- Equipment provided: Helmet and bike. Please advise your height so the bike can be set up for your arrival. If you prefer please bring your own bike.
- Grade Level 2-4
Grade 2 - Easy - Relaxed activity - No significant fitness required. No serious obstacles. Grade 3 - Medium Difficulty – Moderate level of fitness required (should be able to walk medium distances). Activities may take place on uneven terrain or have an element of easy adventure. Grade 4 - Difficult - Should be able to be active for longer periods of time. Activities will likely be adventurous and involve uneven terrain, heights and/or obstacles that require skilled maneuvering.
Transport:
Transfers are included. A bus will leave from the Novotel at 1.00pm precisely and return you to the Novotel by 5.00pm.

Lunch:
A bagged lunch will be available at the hotel upon departure. Please collect it before you leave.

Prices are listed in NZ$ and include GST.
Prices do not include accommodation or travel.

Cancellations
If you are unable to attend the conference, and have advised a substitute is attending in your place, that substitute can contact the NZBA in writing by Friday 14 September 2018 to change to an alternative optional activity prior to conference (subject to availability). Click here to contact the NZBA. No refunds are provided for optional activities.
While every effort will be made to conduct this conference according to the programme, the NZBA reserves the right to vary, amend or cancel any part of the conference if circumstances arise which require such action and the NZBA shall not be held responsible for any loss, liability, damage or expense suffered or incurred by any person as a consequence.
