The New Zealand Bar Association wants more done to improve safety for barristers, judges and others working in the country's courtrooms.

Maria Dew KC, President, spoke with Radio New Zealand earlier today about the increasing security risks and the three serious incidents in court rooms across New Zealand in less than 12 months.  The Bar Association is calling for more to be done to protect lawyers and judges, including urgent consultation about improvements to security and for lawyers to be consulted on measures for high-risk cases.
